Both consoles have their strengths and weaknesses, I think the 360 has by far the best online service and a few really great games. Personally I have a PS3 and I love everything about it so I choose the PS3 over 360. *Side note* I purchased my ps3 back when it was first released and it still purrrs like a kitten.

I have to say xbox 360 because of the greater online competition. PS3 servers do not impress me.

In terms of online game play, with the chat and all, XBL has the edge but as far as the console hardware, I guess sony because of MS continued hardware failure but even at that XBOX just seems to the choice for most everyone, I would venture to say xbox leads in sales ahead of ps3
