well when u root ure phone only good thing is u can unistall the apps that came with the phone, and u have more control on ure phone that being in stock. Also u can add certain roms from other phones and upgrade ure version from 2.2 or 2.1 to 2.3 and so on. Only thing is jst be care of not bricking ure phone cause if so ure phone is done my friend.

just depends wht method you u root youre phone there quite variety of ways to do it. Easy way is a program called "Super One Click"
